It’s Full Steam Ahead At Steampunk Tees!

One of my earliest niche stores on Zazzle was Steampunk Tees which I created with a great deal of enthusiasm. Sadly, with all the other ideas that took off around the same time, it’s taken a back seat for a while; but now it’s being rejuvenated!

In a way I’m glad that I didn’t get time to develop the store fully in the early days. Arriving at Zazzle from other print on demand companies with far more restricted platforms, just being able to add a background colour to a design seemed so much better. But two years down the line looking at those early products that were created they seem, well quite frankly boring and pretty disappointing I suppose.

So this week I’ve not just been playing around with my new website here, I’ve also been busy recreating lots of products in my steampunk store. In addition there were many of the newer products that have been introduced by Zazzle that had not been added to the store, so this has been addressed too! Not only have the designs been given a new lease of life but there’s now a much fuller range of items to choose from. Just a small sampling of the new stuff available…

Over the coming weeks I have quite a number of new designs to add to the store, plus some ideas for new co-ordinating products sets, so it’s another “watch this space”.

Honey Bear Gifts

Another little cutie-patootie has just entered the range at Specialeetees!

This time it’s a dear little soul in the form of a honey bear, complete with honeypot and a friendly bee. The design is a totally original creation from his embossed paws through to his fluffy fur. He was created with children in mind, but of course you can never be too old to fall for a cute face or a teddy bear so I’m sure he will be equally popular with those of us that are young at heart!

I’ve had a lot of fun creating a vast array of products featuring this new design and he’s worked really well on everything. It’s always difficult to pick a favourite product, but I think this time I definitely have a soft spot for the square pendant that can be personalized with a name and text. Most of the items can be personalized so there’s some really sweet custom cards, t-shirts and gifts available that would suit many ages and occasions.

Kittens & Puppies On Keds Sneakers!

Cute n’ Cuddly is the name of the game!

If cute kitties and playful pups are your thing, then these may just be the shoes for you. This week I’ve been giving the “cute stuff” section of Unique Feet a little spring clean, and revamped a few pairs of the shoes on display.

My Cute little puppy dog is now available on Keds Hi-Tops in a red version (inset left), a more sedate but just as eye-catching black and silver grey version and a “not for the feint hearted” bright pink and grey version.

As with all of the Keds shoes in my store the trim details such as binding and laces etc can be completely changed easily on the product page to suit your own taste, background colours can be changed if they are not covered completely by a graphic, or they can simply be purchased as seen. It’s actually a lot of fun swapping the colours around and seeing how different the shoes look with a different colour scheme, but it’s always a pain for me trying to decide which to display…choices, choices, choices…sigh!

As an alternative to the Hi-Top style, I’ve also made the little pup available on some very neat looking ladies slip-on Keds, plus a style for the kids too so there really is something for everyone.

Again with these you can easily add a splash of a different colour by simply changing the stitching colour, or swap out the polka dot background for a different colour choice right on the product page. There’s a number of colour choices and patterns available in the standard Zazzle range without having to upload your own graphics or do anything in the advanced customization screen, keeping it simple to create your own look!

Despite the fact I am a dog person (well, my Weimaraner tells me I am LOL), I cannot leave out a little something for the cat lovers of the world, so I’ve started with Cute Kitty on the Hi-Tops (inset right). There’ll be more styles and colour schemes to follow with this design over the next few days.

And just in case you were wondering, I have a pair of the Hi-Tops featuring my artwork printed by Zazzle and they really are fantastic quality shoes and beautifully printed with vibrant inks. I’ll write up a little product review with them and post some pics for all the world to see.
